Color Theory

Color Theory posits the potential for color to have either constructive effects or adverse effects on learners. As Royce Kimmons (2020) states, As a result of color, learners can have a positive or negative experience supporting themselves with self-regulation, motivation, and persistence.” These positive or negative experiences supporting themselves, in turn, affects the potential for learning and success in a classroom, online learning community, or online learning platform. This series of infographics was created to support development of online learning management systems, educational technology, and programming with the effects of Color Theory in mind.
